SHOCK IN SIAYA AFTER A TEENAGER STRANGLED HIS BROTHER TO DEATH FOR CUTTING DOWN A FAMILY TREE.

By Samuel Ouma.

A FAMILY in Siaya County this morning shocked villagers following  an attempt to stage manage a suicide in a murder case in which a teenage boy strangled his mentally unstable brother death  for cutting down a family tree.

According to Jina Sub-location assistant Chief Charles Owuor Oyolo, the family had attempted to conceal the murder by hanging the body of the deceased on a tree using a rope to appear that he had committed suicide.

The move by the two parents was however blocked by irate villagers who followed the development that led to the killing of the 22 year old George Ouma.

The two parents and their suspected killer son were roughed up by the angry villagers who later frogmarched them to Yala police station while the body of the deceased has been collected by the local police to Yala Sub-district Hospital mortuary.
