NYAMUNGA WOOS UK INVESTORS TO FUND IRRIGATION PROJECT IN KISUMU

KISUMU county women representative Rose Nyamunga has vowed to eradicate poverty within the County after meeting various investors from United Kingdom.

Speaking to small scale farmers in Kisumu from UK after attending her daughter’s graduation Ceremony at Sheffield University, Nyamunga said the investors are ready to invest within the county.

She said the investors have vowed to start an irrigation project within the county to ensure that food security is improved.

The women representative said various research has revealed that Kisumu county residents are spending a total sum of Sh75 million every day in buying food.

“This makes it difficult for people within the county to invest when spending such sum of money on a daily basis”, she said.

Nyamunga said the project will be done jointly by the Ministry of Agriculture, National Irrigation Board and the International Investors.

She said the project is aimed at rehabilitating the lands belonging to small scale farmers within the region.

“It will also involve making an irrigation scheme that will boost food production and maximize the lands potentials.

She said during the last feasibility study conducted, it indicated that Kisumu County was the most suitable region for irrigation.

“This pilot irrigation project will ensure that poverty within the county is alleviated”, said the women rep.

She however advised small scale farmers to desist from cultural beliefs where farmers plant their crops and wait for the raining seasons.

The women representative has brought numerous projects within the county like Kisumu county Revolving Funds and Table Banking.

She said they are soon launching a poultry project that anybody interested in will be attended to and promised to give full support in managing the project ones it’s rolled out.

KISUMU TNA ACTIVIST SUPPORTS EUROPEAN MOVE TO BAN PROMISCOUS MCAs FROM VISITING

KISUMU TNA activist has hailed a move to ban promiscuous Kenyan Members of County Assemblies from travelling to eight European countries.

The activist James Kirundu who vied on a TNA ticket, Milimani Market Ward in the last general elections said the MCA’s should concentrate on the promises they made to voters as opposed to travelling around the globe in the name of trainings and seminars.

The MCAs who have been nicknamed ‘rats’ have been globetrotting in the name of learning best practices from the best around the world.

The eight European countries have loudly complained that they have received too many and large delegations from Kenya some of which are not of any value to their bilateral relationship.

However USA has come straight to complain that the MCA’s who most of the times masquerade as MPs whenever they are on such trips have also been accused of immorality with most of the male MCA’s commenting on women buttocks on the street.

Kirunda while speaking during a press conference, accompanied by another TNA activist Hassan Akako called on the Kenyan government to effect the directives issued by the concerned European countries adding that other countries should take the cue by barring the idly MCA’s from unnecessary visits.

FILTH AT UAP INSURANCE AS KISUMU LADY TYCOON PROTEST

THE UAP Insurance Company is on the spotlight following claims from a Kisumu based lady tycoon that the company is in a serious conning business.

Violet Akinyi Ochieng counts as one of the numerous customers who have registered their complaints with the Police and SCOOPDESK alleging that they have received dubious treatment from the cover company even after entrusting them with millions of shillings.

In the case of Akinyi, the cover body UAP ostensibly colluded with a local garage at Kisumu to give her raw deal in her attempts to recover her state-of-the art vehicle Toyota proda which was involved in a grisly road accident one year back.

According to Akinyi, UAP Kisumu branch Auto extreme, has colluded with the garage where her car is being repaired after the accident to extort her of money and the two bodies have gone to the extent of ensuring that the unsuspecting lady’s vehicle is fitted with fake spare parts in replacement of genuine ones.

Akinyi’s Prado was involved in a freaky road accident that left the vehicle KBU 009A with a totally damaged chassis.

The lady who has registered most of her commercial Lorries with the same insurance company now remains a worried individual following the nasty treatment from the UAP.

However the SCOOPDESK has leant that her numerous attempts to engage the company’s headquarters over the matter has turned unfruitful as none of her protesting letters have been replied.

Drug lord whose death remains mysterious, Boss Camara revealed to his fellow inmates at Nairobi’s Industrial Area Prison the number of times he enjoyed sex with TV queen Lillian Muli Kanene.

Thika Town MP Alice Ng'ang'a has allegedly been caught up in a sex scandal involving multiple men.

So bad is the relationship that those entangled in the alleged love triangle saga have decided to go viral and wash their dirty linen in the public.
