A 14-year-old boy has been detained in a toilet at the Isiolo Level 4 Hospital for the last five days after his family failed to hospital bill.

Francis Kiplagat while narrating his ordeal to the press said guards at the facility ostensibly on instruction from the administration grabbed him from the hospital bed and locked him inside one of the toilets.

His mother took him for treatment at the hospital after he suffered stomach complication but deserted when she realized she was unable to settle the bill.

Speaking to the press Isiolo County Women Representative Tiya Galgalo and Isiolo North Member of Parliament Joseph Samal said the boy was treated to food left-overs and did not get any medication for the five days he was locked inside the toilet.

The leaders who got a tip off from cleaners at the hospital ordered for the immediate action against the hospital's administration over the heinous act.

The case has been reported to the Isiolo deputy County Commissioner David Kipkemei

Irene Myangoh, a personal assistant working at a law firm in Nairobi went to an upmarket hair salon along Kenyatta Avenue, and spent more than Sh3,000 on a human hair weave. 

Two weeks later she started suffering from severe headache that would not go away. She would wake up with severe headache at night. 

She went to a private doctor who gave her drugs for the relief of mild to moderate pain of inflamatory origin with or without fever; they would only work for a few hours and then the headache would be back worse than even before.

Desperate, she went to see a specialist who did blood tests and even a brain scan. All the tests were negative but the headache persisted, making her unable to concentrate at work and sleeping very poorly.

She went back to her doctor who decided to examine her scalp and under the beautiful weave he found worms! The worms were burrowing into her skull and after sending the samples to the lab they found that the hair had eggs from which the worms had hatched.

The doctor told her that the hair was probably from a corpse because those worms are usually found on dead bodies. Efforts to reach her doctor for further comments were fruitless for he was said to be out of the country.

The manager of the salon where Irene got the hair product was traumatised and said they had fitted ten weaves from the package already, adding that the particular batch of hair had sold very fast; in less than a month, she had sold over 150 pieces.

“I am shocked to hear this because this is the first time such a thing is happening to my clients. I will get more information from my supplier because we import these weaves from the UK, USA and India,” says the salon manager who did not want to be mentioned.

CELEBRATED gospel artist Joan Wairimu known for the hit Pambazuka na Yesu has been accused by the husband to be a pornographic addict in a legal counter accusations in which she has also asked to divorce the adulterous bishop for impregnating a house help and a series of sex scandals.

Pastor Joan Wairimu Githuku and her husband have both filed cases in court accusing each other of adultery and Wairimu has listed five women including house girls she claims her husband has slept with since 1996.

But her husband, Bishop William Musyoki Mwangangi, has filed a cross petition asking the court to dissolve the marriage. .

He claims the wife on several occasions made sexual advances to their shamba boys and a driver. Those who turned down the advances were sacked, the bishop says.

The accusations range from cruelty, adultery, watching of pornographic movies, denial of conjugal rights and issuance of death threats.

Bishop Mwangangi, who is the head of Jesus Manifestation Church in Githurai 45, accuses her wife of denying him conjugal.

And of the drivers has filed an affidavit as a witness in support of the bishop’s case claiming that Pastor Wairimu made advances to him in April when her husband was away in South Africa for a mission.

She is also accused of bringing her lover to the matrimonial home for a sleepover.

But Pastor Wairimu claims her has had many adulterous affairs with known and unknown women causing her to suffer great embarrassment.

She claims the bishop has sired a child out of wedlock as a result of his adulterous actions, but the bishop denies the accusation.

Bishop Mwangangi on the other hand claims that his wife, who recently moved out of their matrimonial home in Muthiaga North, has denied him his conjugal rights for the last five years.

He further denies that he has been exposing their three children to sexually explicit text messages and nude pictures of his lovers. The claims, he says, are imaginary and meant to malign him as a man of God.

“To the contrary, it is the petitioner (Pastor Wairimu) who has been watching pornographic movies in the house at night in the name of copying sexual styles whereas she has denied the respondent his conjugal rights for the last five years,” the Bishop alleges.
